Several of the members and their families enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at Menominee Park by Lake Winnebago. The gazebo was reserved from 2P-6P, but most of us hung out by the VWs. Crazy fanatics that we are, we just can't seem to stay away from our cars, can we?
Some folks did grill out, others just brought lunch from BK with them. To each his own. Jenny brought some delicious brownies for the gang. Jenny also made some decorations for our picnic. I liked the club sign that she made.
A few folks left early so that they could catch the informal car show at Northland Mall in Appleton and then do the cruise through downtown Appleton. It is a yearly precursor to the Pierce Park show on Sunday. The reports back were that they had their very own VW section in the show. Thank you to Keith and Jenny for organizing this event and reserving the gazebo for us. It's the members that make this club happen.
